Music
Took the train back home yesterday. It was very long because my train was cancelled so I had a lot of waiting but I was upgraded to first class so yay. And I got tons of time to listen to music.
I really got into TVMALSV by Cocksure. It's quite crass (but Chris Connelly gets a free pass from me because he's always been a fave since I heard The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste), and musically rather awesome, powerful, with a bit of groove. Listened to it with Math today and he liked it too.
Then played Dead When I Found Her, Rag Doll Blues, that I loved as well. Poppy and dark at the same time, it is perfect played under headphones. I definitely need to listen to it more (doing it right now in fact).
Then listened to A + 0 (m) by Kevorikan Death Cycle, which I've been playing quite a bit lately. It's easy industrial, still quite heavy, vaguely KMFMDy sometimes but with less oomph. It sounds to me like the music you'd hear when there are scenes in a goth club in a tv show. But it's still well done and entertaining.
Finally listened to Welcome To Goodbye by Rotersand. It's incredible how I can love some of their tracks (“Storm” being a favourite), and how some make me want to stab my ears. I wish futurepop would die of old age already. I get why it was popular when it happened but it was 15 years ago and shit is getting old. I skipped so many tracks on Random Is Resistance (from 2009!) that I just gave up on the album altogether. Guys, leave the arpeggios alone already, FFS.
Watching
We just watched the Good Wife. I cried a bit. Feel free to discuss with spoilers in the comments.
