Reading

Yesterday night I went to bed to read, which is something that hadn't happened in so long (I read in the morning in the tub a lot, but I am so tired in the evening lately – oh, I had my TSH checked and my thyroid is perfectly treated right now, so I guess it's just me. Meh.) Anyway, I resumed Ancillary Justice, while listening to V▲LH▲LL.

Perfume

More Black Orchid. <3

Music

Woke up with Cygnets – Sleepwalkers. Then listened to Blush Response, and then digged from far far Cyberaktif (I don't know where that came from, I think I read someone mention it on a forum?). So, slippery slope, I plopped the Mesner Tracks from :Wumpscut: on and had a real fucking blast listening to it. I'm generally quite over the screaming saturated angry bleuargh thing but the first few:W: releases were really the shit. MT is in large part instrumentals too, which helps a lot. ;) ;)

Watching

I forgot to mention yesterday that I dyed my hair and that to withstand the burn I watched interview of Genesis P-Orridge, whom I could listen talk for hours. It's so worth watching!

We also watched the Kitty-centric Elementary, which was a bit tough but I though overall handled with sensitivity. But the writing isn't picking up much. Seriously, I won't spoil, but how convenient is that Joan is just where she is. I love them, really, these characters, but the plots are either not super well written, or very badly written, truthfully.

Food

I went to L'Oisivethé to have coffee this afternoon! And I forgot to take both my book and my knitting (I want to try to knit a row a day on my Rikke hat). How silly. But it was lovely and I got to see Hiro and get hugs and kisses.

Then I decided to walk home. It was raining slightly but I had an umbrella and good music and I like the rain. So, L'Oisivethé is at the very South of Paris, further down South after Place d'Italie, and we live in Belleville, so not very far from the Périphérique (15-20 min by foot?). I walked at a reasonable pace (I don't know how to walk slow when on my own but I was listening to Haujobb, which helps not killing myself) took rue des Gobelins, rue Mouffetard, a bunch of streets, ended up on the Pont des Arts, then through rue Vieille du Temple, rue Oberkampf, rue St Maur and home! And it took me 1h45. Dude.
