I can still smell Kyoto on my cardigan, hmmm. :)
Music
We listened to Math & Emotion by Klangstabil and Enduser – Even Weight last night, although the cat didn't really agree on Enduser and jumped on the computer and shut it off?
Anyway, we said with Math that we missed making mixtapes and so I decided, you know, why not make one? So that's what I started doing today. Of course I'm being super anal about it, trying to find the perfect stuff and give myself rules so as not to go overboard (I decided to focus on what I am listening at the moment, and to limit myself to 15 tracks max, then settled on 16, because 15, honestly was impossible, I started with 41, alright?). I'm almost done in fact and I'll upload it on dropbox tomorrow, maybe.
I send a signal on twitter and facebook and already got one two back (another came through as I was writing, whee)! I listened to the first one in the afternoon and it was so amazing. First, it's really nice to listen to something else than my stuff. Feels like a breath of fresh air. Of course, I love my music, it's why it's my music, but at the moment I'm really listening almost exclusively to electronic music (which can be a lot of things, granted) and forcing myself out of my comfort zone is actually quite pleasing. Then, I heard stuff that I genuinely loved, that I knew, Gerry Rafferty, Cat Stevens, Kate Bush, Louis Armstrong that I didn't, like Cornershop (who are those guys, I like!). I can see myself playing this again when the mood strikes. Oh, there's a B side that I haven't listened to (it's a big mixtape!). I'm looking forward to listening the one I just got tomorrow morning and I won't open the folder because I don't want no spoilers! :D
So yeah, friends, feel free to join in if you feel so inclined.
Other than that, I listened to ∆Aimon while having my first coffee, then Trust and bought my concert tickets, then Anklebiter, then Carpenter Brut and Dead When I Found Her. Playing The Snow EP from Coil right now.
