Reading
I'm about halfway through Ancillary Justice and it's really captivating. The narration is really unique but it's hard to explain without saying too much.
I try not to be frustrated about how slowly I read nowadays and celebrate the fact that I'm able to read at all recently (which wasn't the case not so long ago).
Music
I can't get tired of Blush Response. And such music that I enjoy listening in so many contexts (walking, chilling home, reading) is quite rare, Haujobb being the exception. I have inside music and outside music, busy music and quiet/reading music. I don't really segment my music willingly, it's just how I end up listening to it.
Anyway, I read last night while listening to Coil and fell asleep listening to Hecq's Night Fall. Woke up with DSX “Demoniac” stuck in my head so I put Anonymous on. Then I listened to another friend's mixtape, which was great, except for sound issues (they're .ogg files so I don't know if it's an issue with clementine, but I'll try to convert them and see).
Listened to Project Pitchfork – Eon:eon, some Autodafeh, Cygnets – Isolator, and headed out with Statiqbloom in my ears.
Food
I went to my headquarters at Le Poutch for coffee and read for about two hours. It was very nice. Listened to Displacer (and Blush Response) and came home walking along the canal listening to ESA.
The listened to Rome – A Passage to Rhodesia and the Hannibal OST.
Watching
I watched Parks and Recs which was of course brilliant and sad at the same time.
Then I watched New Girl and the Mindy Project which was a stupid idea because they are really not on the same level as Parks and Recs so if anything they should have come before. New Girl was okay, but Mindy made me so angry. It has never been a very good show but was entertaining enough, but (spoilers ahead) it's been downhill since Mindy and Danny got together. Because he's such a jerk. And not in a funny way. On LSG we'd have told her to DTMFA a long time ago. And FFS you don't need to make a baby to be a family! Auugh. I give up. I'M DTMFA. And I mean that fucking show. Ugh.
