Reading
I finished Ancillary Justice last night. It's going to be tough not starting the second volume right away. :) I really love the characters, the concept of genderless beings and how they explore what identity is. I found the pacing of the book really good.
I was disappointed that it finished so soon. Ebooks can be tricky! It showed a 94% progression when the last chapter ended, which was terribly deceptive! If you account for the first few pages at the very beginning, it means that almost 10% of the book isn't the novel itself, which is a lot! I don't mind the idea, it's just that with a digital format, there is no way to tell in advance really (whereas if you parse a book quickly, difference in formatting will often tell you). The last Block I read was the same, and I remember being really really disappointed when it ended (also both time I had planned for longer reading session and found myself without a book. I know I should learn and it will sink in eventually!)

I'm wearing La Myrrhe these past few days (I think Elnett put it back on my mind lol).

Food
I went to Naniwaya last night with best friend. Had the best Japanese food and also so cheap! I was a bit out of it (because of the impending ear infection, ha) but still had a great time. Her little girl looks so grown up on the pictures now, wow.
Watching
I caught up on a lot of TV these past days:
Parks and Rec is consistently marvelous. I just saw there were only 2 episodes left, so I'm feeling quite lost already.
Brooklyn Nine Nine was a great Captain Holt episode. Great one liners.
De-ball those bands!
Elementary is a hot mess this season isn't it? Mild spoiler: I'm still not caught up. 2 or 3 episodes late but I'm up to date on the Kitty storyline. I'm sad to see Ophelia Lovibond go.
And Grimm, oh Grimm! Spoiler! Ok, I really wasn't into the beginning of the season, the royals, Adalind in Germany, so half of the main arc was super boring, and I was very wary regarding Juliet's state, which was unclear to begin with. But wow, wasn't this all rewarding? I mean, last episode was as predictable as could be, but it was exactly what I needed, what I was rooting for, and I felt like rolling on the floor squeeing during the whole thing. I mean TEAM KICKASS HEXENBIEST JULIET. I've never been 100% fond of Bitsie Tulloch but the look on her face after she kicked Adalind out? Super understated, yet SO powerful. Wow. Yeah, I'm on board NOW. I hope she stays that way forever. Hell, I hope Nick takes a vacation and gives her the keys to the trailer.
