Music
We started the day yesterday listening to Perfume Genius in a bath (it was Math's last day of break before starting a new job). The tub is our favourite spot to have discussions and debates (no sex, nooo, sex in a tub imho is as practical as sex on the beach, ugh ugh uhg). We talked about music in the bath and when we got out we played some Metallica. Kill'Em All is such a fun record, full of youthful energy. I used to not like it at all and it's now my favourite from the band (used to be with Master Of Puppets, which I still love but don't feel compelled to listen to much anymore).
Then I sewed all afternoon listening to Converter, 2methyl, Carly Rae Jepsen and Comaduster.
Crafting
I made a toile for my trousers (photo from the book in this post). In fact, I made the pants from beginning to end, only using cheap bedsheets as material. I practiced all the new stuff I'd have to do for the real thing, namely interfacing and pockets (and generally sewing more accurately).
Lo and behold, the toile fits like a glove! It's an unusual trousers cut for me, so I have a hard time making my mind about the length, but I think it is right the way I made them.
I was honestly pretty amazed that I was able to sew pants that fit from a pattern! I still am! :D

Lookie, it's a pocket! :D
I bought the buttons today and will probably start working on them tomorrow. We also tried the cheap fabric store with Clémentine and it was closed again! My bad - I didn't realise it was Yom Kippour, many places were closed.
Watching
I watched a LOT of 30 Rock this morning (I've seen 2/3 of season 1 and I feel it's finding its pace and focusing less on things that annoyed me in the beginning.)
I also watched the finale of Pushing Daisies. I had been postponing it for 2 weeks, because I went through enough Bryan Fuller heartbreak back then, but today felt right, and it was! It's a pretty rushed ending, but a good one. :)
