First yarn
Jul. 17th, 2013 12:31 pmHere's the green yarn, spun, plied and washed. I'm rather proud. ^^ Plying was a bit difficult because the singles were very thin and overspun in places. Oops.

Voilà la laine verte, filée, retordue et lavée. Je suis assez fière. ^^ Le retors a été un peu difficile parce que les singles étaient très fins et trop twistés. Oups.
Prior to washing/avant lavage:
I've started spinning some black jacob, and it is so lush! I love its hand. The unspun fiber does look a lot like hair though. I have flashes of Garret Jacob (heh) Hobbs' cushions from that Hannibal episode. :P
On another note, I'm busy preparing the next Dulcimer sale. It's going on well. It will be a smaller scale sale, since many people will likely be in holidays away from their computers.

J'ai commencé à filer du jacob noir, tellement agréable! J'adore son toucher. La fibre non filée ressemble toutefois vachement à des cheveux. J'ai des visions des coussins de Garret Jacob (ha!) Hobbs dans un certain épisode de Hannibal. :P
Sinon, je prépare la prochaine vente Dulcimer. Ca avance bien. Ce sera une vente plus petite que la précédente, puisque je pense que de nombreuses personnes seront en vacances loin de leurs claviers.
