I'm so tired today. I have absolutely nothing planned before butoh on Saturday so I think I'm going to spend that whole time sleeping. Or at least I should. I really want to start working out again but I feel like I was run over by a truck, so not today.

Photography

I took an OOTD picture. I got a very nice ask a while ago on my blog from someone who said my photos helped them embrace their weirdness and gothiness with confidence. It was so lovely to read, especially since I struggle myself with confidence and I tend to feel silly in regards to how I dress, even though I wear what I like.

Concert

I went to The Soft Moon/Phase Fatale with Clémentine. It was at La Maroquinerie and I really like the place. I'm very glad I saw Phase Fatale. At the moment, I go to venues just to see the main act, as standing for long can be a struggle but PF came highly recommended. When I arrived, the pit was super still, so I went and started dancing. :) I'm about to buy some of his stuff (listening and trying to pick one).

I retreated to higher grounds when The Soft Moon started (the pit got a bit excited, which is great but I can't do it at the moment). It was great! I realized how long it had been since I saw an actual rock band (you know, guitar, bass, drums) band on stage. Probably since The Gossip in (goes to the fridge to check the dates) 2012! I can't say I'm a huge fan of Luis Vasquez' singing, especially live, but the band's live interpretation of the songs sure was great! Relentless and hypnotic, with a furious energy. And man, post punk acts do love their strobes.

The only issue I had was that I picked that night to try the musician earplugs (since it's the last concert I had scheduled in the near future, I could risk inducing an ear infection, to which I am prone) but turns out my ear canals must be really small, as there was no way they could fit in there. I managed to insert them partially but each time I moved my jaw I could feel them about to fall off. And they didn't lower the noise as much as I'd wanted. So, are there child musician earplugs? Because, indeed, the sound quality is incomparable to the soft ones.

Fibery stuff

I spun again. I tried to spin a little longer overall than the day before, with breaks to spare my shoulders. My shoulders were a bit sore in the evening but this morning I'm okay (this is basically my gauge: if I can recover during the night I assume I'm doing fine).

Watching

I watched a fair bit of The Practice. Bobby Donnell is such a child. It's worse with each episode (and this is only season 2!). And we watched Hannibal 2x11 when I came back from the show, so the plan is to watch the end of season 2 and 3x01 on Friday night! :D
