Brume skirt.

I used the leftover fabric from my drop pants. I love the clever cut of the back. It was a smooth project, I’m relatively happy with my finishing. My seams are getting more accurate.

I’d love to remake that pattern in black and grey, with black piping.

Music

Yesterday, I listened mostly to fast paced music and playlists to keep myself motivated (for sewing and random housework stuff).

Today, I listened to Volt 9000, Click Click, V▲LH▲LL, WIK▲N, ∆AIMON (big unicode thing going there, ya), Ghost & Writer and Seeming.

Photography

I took photos of my sewing. I'm really not comfortable in front of the camera at the moment so the photography project is on stand-by.

Crafting

I sewed the Brume skirt yesterday. It went very smoothly. I am learning to cut fabric neatly, although my scissors are cheap paper ones. Even though they have been only used on fabric, they aren't too great, they lack the heaviness that would make them really comfortable for cutting thick fabric folded in two. I'm managing okay, but I will probably have to buy better ones at some point.

Now that I have learnt proper sewing-machine handling, everything is going very well and stitching is very soothing and addictive (what isn't, with me, though).
I'm very happy with the finished skirt (wearing it right now, as a matter of fact).

Today, we had a dyeing session with Clémentine. I hadn't realised how much I missed it. But also, I was reminded pretty brutally how strenuous that was. I was insane to do this every day. I'm knackered now.
I dyed my Viajante. I was aiming for a gradient but I was skeptical I'd be able to achieve one on non-superwash yarn. And indeed, the dye took too long to take in the dyebath, and so it is a lot more homogenous than intended. But it's a pretty slate grey. I tried the closest thing I've ever done to handpainting. I laid the knitting onto a plastic sheet (that's the elegant way of saying bin bag really) and poured red splashes and cooked the whole thing in the microwave.

It's pinned onto the bed right now, drying.

Watching

We finished Awake yesterday night. Math was a bit skeptical about the ending, feeling it was a bit too close to a Lindelof-Cuse for comfort. But we discussed it and he saw my interpretation, which is probably more open and more grim and he also read an interview of the show creator that shed a bit of light as well.
