Health
Why, hello there! I haven't updated properly in a little while. I'm doing ok although my back is hurting and it won't go away (third day on Valium and it's still there).
A little bit more than a week ago, I went to the dermatologist for a laser treatment to get rid of the redness on my face caused by rosacea. It was brief and no big deal, but it really kicked my ass for the following couple of days. Super swollen face, oedema seeping into my eyelids, not fun! I'm back to normal now, still a bit red from the laser so I can't really say anything about the results yet.
Perfume
I started wearing perfume again two days ago for the first time since the laser (we also removed a few cherry angiomas on my chest, I really hate those and how visible they are on my super pale skin, so I didn't want to put anything on my skin as it was healing). Anyway, I wore Dzing! on Wednesday, and Black Orchid yesterday and it was delicious.
Music
Well... I listened to the new ESA a lot, and to Seeming, The Dreaming, Tiamat, Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepsen, Grendel, Oil Thief... I'm on an Iris binge at the moment.
And I managed to snag a ticket to see Róisín Murphy this Saturday on the event page on FB! Hee!
Photography
Not much but I'm starting to feel a tingle again and my face is decent looking so I just might. Soon.
Crafting
I've been quite productive! I knitted some lovely qiviut gloves and I'm working on a cowl. These are going to be so warm. :)
Since I came back to Paris, I've sewn drop crotch leggings, Thai fishermen's pants from a Burda pattern, and the dress I posted about yesterday. I visited a fabric store very close to home where they sell very cheap fabrics (mostly synthetics, but some pretty attractive still) and they had a very nice jersey cotton for 9€/3m! And some lovely wool fabrics too.
I've also bought two Japanese pattern books and intend to make several of the designs. :)
Out and about
I've been walking a lot for the past few days. At least 2 hours everyday. On Monday, Math and I went to the Louvre area (he had something to get at the Apple store) then we walked to WH Smith and finally had dinner at a Japanese restaurant rue St Anne.
I had lunch with Physalis on Wednesday and we went for a stroll at the Père Lachaise cemetery.
Yesterday Clémentine and I went to an exhibition on modern church stained glass, with some by Chagall, Le Corbusier and Soulages. I really really would like to plan a trip to go to the Soulages museum in Rodez someday. Clémentine and I walked from the Eiffel Tower to La Motte Piquet. The weather and light was beautiful.
Watching
I managed to watch the last episode of Hannibal ever and finish Wonderfalls in the span of a week. I'm clinging to the last episode of Pushing Daisies, I just can't, right now.
We've started watching Sense8 with Math. We're just 3 episodes in and it's good, but I'm not crazy into it (yet?).
