Singles!

 I've received my merino singles. The base is beautiful, and it takes the dye beautifully and quite differently. It has a slight halo/fuzz that takes most of the dye, which gives a lot of depth to the colours.

It is a high twist single and it looks a bit overplied to me. I wish I had access to the regular single. I will try to knit with it. I've read that the kinks sort themselves out when knitted and I don't doubt it. It is a very popular base.

I've dyed a pale pink and an attempt at taupe. I'm not sure it is actually taupe but I like it.

Quand tu as fait Love in Blood (c'est bien ça ?) je me suis dit qu'il me paraissait presque marron, un peu comme la base de l'Alizarin Grace.. et maintenant voilà que celui-là m'y fait penser aussi... Je crois que j'appellerais ça un marron glacé, peut-être, ou un nom de métal.. cuivre terni? en tout cas je l'ADORE nom de dieu je l'aime je l'aime je l'aime j'en veux. ugggh. Et j'ai aussi tendance à penser que taupe c'est plus pâle et un peu plus jaune ? Mais je crois que c'est une couleur très vague.

J'ai aussi beaucoup ce rose, en vrai. :)

Aww merci. C'est vrai qu'il y a ptet un petit côté Alizarin mais en plus froid. Enfin, le single ça fait ressembler toutes les couleurs à du Madtosh à mes yeux, ce qui ne me dérange pas (huhu).

It is 100% superwash merino. Meterage is 370m.
