Music
Started the day listening to the Haxan Cloak – Excavation, LORN – The Maze To Nowhere Part 3, Prager Handgriff – Roburit. Did some groceries (I made up my mind and bought some foundation ! So stressful because it's so much money for me, but my old foundation is too old and is making me break out and it wasn't great to begin with. So I read tons of review and picked the 123 Perfect from Bourjois. I hope it'll suit me) then we had lunch listening to Dismantled.
Watching
We headed to the Musée de l'Histoire de l'Immigration, near Porte Dorée to see the Fashion Mix exhibition, an exhibition showing the works of all the foreign designers who came to Paris to show their work and set up shop and influenced French and world fashion. From Worth to Vandervoorst, with a glaring absence of African designers (bar Azzedine Alaïa whose designs couldn't be missed).
I don't remember the designer's name ugh, Lola Prusac, Theyskens, A.F.Vandervost
The building itself is a strange place. It used to be le Musée des Colonies. It's architecture is a a masterpiece of art deco, adorned with jaw-droppingly racist frescoes. It's very interesting that they repurposed it to tell the story of immigration. They do very interesting work and it happening in this place says something about our country, I think.
Food
We came home a bit knackered so we ordered Lebanese. Listened to Tonikom and then, finally, Igorrr & Ruby My Dear – Maigre, and oh my, this record is amazing. So weird, a bit like if the Deschiens made breakcore. Love it.
We watched beginning of Season 2 of Parks & Rec. Math said it: he loves the show now. WE'VE WON!
Reading
I couldn't read because my kindle was out of batteries!! So I tried to sleep and couldn't sleep for a couple hours, again. *sigh* Listened to Flint Glass and Hecq. Eventually had a not too bad night of sleep.
